Some color make us feel cooler, like reds, oranges and yellows and Some, like blue or violet, can make us feel cool and calm. In Ayurveda Several colors are considered to balance different chakras and also to heal the body’s systems
Fruits and vegetables with red color is a source of carotenoid lycopene, which help to protects the body against cancer and disease and rids the body of free radicals. The second advantage of red color fruits are these type of fruits and vegetable contain high amount of lycopene which help to maintain of prostate health. Red is the 1st color in chakra, that is related to the skeletal and excretory systems.
Fruits and vegetables with Orange color are contains high amount os beta-carotene and curcuminoids, which have the ability to enhance a host of health concerns. Curcuminoids are more generally found in turmeric, and these compounds are important to minimize inflammation, decrease anxiety, and enhance cognitive function.
Beta-carotene a precursor of vitamin A,and is an important for healthy hair, skin and muscles. Examples of red color foods are tomatoes,water melon, etc.
Green color vegetables and fruits help to regulate heart health and balance hormones. And these are the better source of iron, and source of sulforaphane, osocyanate, and indoles and protects the body against cancer and inhibits carcinogens In Ayurveda, green foods with , bitter taste, which helps cleanse and purify the blood and the respiratory system , example of green color foods are broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage etc.
Blue color foods is associated with the 5th or throat chakra linked to the thyroid gland, vocal cords and bronchi.the fruits and vegetables like plums and blueberries.
Fruits and vegetables like beets,grapes, red cabbage in Red / Purple category is a perfect source of antioxidants that protect the body from heart disease and blood clots,and Alzheimer’s diseases.in according to ayurveda this color is represent the 6th chakra located between the eyes, governs the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus.
White foods are filled with vitamin D, calcium and phosphorus, such as milk, yogurt and some cheeses. Such vitamins and minerals aid in the health of the bone and can help us maintain healthy body weight.
Brown category foods provide fiber and carcinogen removal, as well as a good source of protein.Examples: foods from this category run the gamut from whole grains to legumes to meats; the grain also provide serotonin that support in the digestive tract.
