Ayurvedic Panchakarma Treatment
Panchakarma Treatment is defined as pillar of Ayurveda and this therapy is generally known for its beneficial effect on wellness, fitness, vigor and self-healing. Ayurveda defines health as a condition in which the body is free of toxins and the organs normally function, the mind is at peace and the emotions are calm and happy.
In a stressful and toxic environment our physical and mental processes produce contaminants that cause a degradation in the functioning of the body-mind complex and that opens the door to the development of degenerative and non-specific diseases.
Panchakarma has many stages, it is primarily a detoxification therapy which helps remove body toxins. The treatment is known for purifying and curing the body, therefore the medication revitalizes the body’s immune system and helps it to repair itself.
Panchakarma involves a series of complementing therapies that cleanse the body from the inside. The treatments are usually individualized, based on the patient’s medical history and current health conditions, age, metabolism and a few other factors. After an in-depth evaluation of the patient.
Depending upon the individual health condition, Ayurvedic practitioners prescribe Panchakarma treatment, and the treatment may include all or only some of the five therapies.
Therapy is based on ancient Ayurveda medicine, and the use of herbal powders, herbal concoctions, and herbal oils is prevalent and we are promoting the best world class panchakarma treatment in Kerala, under the supervision of expert Ayurveda doctors
Three major objectives of Panchakarma Treatment
- Swasthya Rakshana – Health maintenance
- Roga nivarana – Elimination of the disease
- Prepare for rejuvenation
Swasthya Rakshana – Health Maintenance
Recommended even for healthy individuals, as part of regular seasonal regimens as doshas naturally accumulate owing to seasonal changes and can cause disease if not removed timely.
Roga Nivarana – Elimination of the disease
When the doshas are vitiated beyond a certain level, they give rise to various endo-toxins (Ama), which have a tendency to be accumulated in the minute channels (Srotas). When such condition is beyond the level of pacification and do not respond well to medications then they need to be eliminated from the body through Shodhana therapy.
Rasayana & Vajikarana – Rejuvenation/Revitalization Therapy
Panchakarma procedures prepares the body to respond well to Rasayana (Rejuvenation) and Vajeekarana (revitalization) therapies which helps to strengthen various body tissues and delays degenerative processes.
